Hone Your Technique | Private Lessons with School of Ballet RI

Welcome to the School of Ballet RI private lessons page. Private lessons are the perfect way for dancers training for a career in ballet to get direct feedback while honing artistry, physical conditioning, and technical understanding. Please read below to learn more about booking a private or semi-private Lesson.

– Private and semi-private lessons are available for both students currently enrolled in the School of Ballet RI and students new to us.
– Private lessons are lessons for one student and one teacher. Semi-private lessons are those for two students and one teacher.
– Payment for private/semi-private lessons should be made directly to the faculty member with whom the student is working. Please inquire directly with the faculty member for their preferred payment method (Venmo/Cash/Check). Rates for faculty privates are $100 per hour. Rates for semi-privates are $150 per hour.
– Payment for the studio space used during the private/semi-private lesson goes to Ballet RI to cover the cost of the space rental.
– Students enrolled in School of Ballet RI receive a discount on the space rental. Currently enrolled students have received an email with more information.
– Students booking private/semi-private lessons must be at least 8 years old.
– A parent or guardian must attend and be in the studio for the duration of the private/semi-private lesson.
– Use the booking system below to reserve a lesson with the instructor of your choice. If the system prevents you from booking the appointment, this indicates that space is not available on this day and time. You will need to find a different day and time the instructor has availability listed to book with them.

Please note, confirming private/semi-private lessons without using the booking system may result in a lesson being booked at a time when studio space is not available.
