Company Dancer

Emma started dancing at the age of 5 at The Oakville School of Classical Ballet, where after only three weeks of dancing she was asked to be the little party girl in The Nutcracker, from that point she fell in love with ballet. As the years went by Emma trained in Cecchetti, RAD & ABT where she did both RAD exams from Intermediate foundation – Advanced level 2 and ABT examination from level 4-6 where she passed with high Honors for all three.

At the age of 15 Emma went to her first summer intensive away from her hometown with Orlando ballet, she received a position as a Trainee for their 2015/2016 season, she accepted. Emma spent three years with Orlando Ballet as a Trainee for two years and Second company member for one. Throughout Emma’s years with Orlando ballet she performed numerous times with the company as well as competed in Youth American Grand Prix in Tampa both 2017 & 2018 to then proceed to attended The New York Finals. In 2018 YAGP Tampa Emma received 3rd place in the contemporary round and performed at the Lincoln Center YAGP Finals. In their Summer of 2018 Emma competed in USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson Mississipi where only after two days of being at the two week competition she was offered her first company contract with Atlanta ballet as an apprentice. Emma spent four years with Atlanta ballet, two as an apprentice and two as a full company member. She performed with a variety choreographers and performed works that she had dreamed of since she was very young including Yuri Possokhov, Dwight Rhoden & Ekmans Cacti. Emma is very excited to be in a positive environment that will enable her to push herself to her fullest potential as a artist by joining Ballet RI.
